PROFILE - SUSAN L. DAVIS
Susan L. Davis, RN, Ed.D.,FACHE serves as Managing Partner at Healthcare Strategic Solutions, LLC, an advisory firm focused on optimizing enterprise value for health systems, hospitals, private equity firms, portfolio companies and other business entities through effective governance, strategy development, operational and financial excellence, and business growth.
Susan is a seasoned and accomplished executive who has held senior leadership positions in a wide range of healthcare settings including at an academic medical center, at multi-hospital health systems and at community hospitals. Susan brings over thirty years experience as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Susan earned both a Doctorate in Education and a Master of Arts in Nursing Administration from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College.
Susan is nationally recognized for her work in high reliability and for creating a statewide approach to high reliability for all hospitals in Connecticut.
Susan is a Board Certified in healthcare management and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has served as Chairman on the Committee on Quality, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Hospital Association. Susan has also served as Chairman of the Quality and Patient Safety Committee and on the Board of Directors of the Florida Hospital Association, as well as Chairman or as a Director of numerous civic organizations boards.
Susan has been recognized by many professional and civic organizations for her contributions to the healthcare industry and to the community, including the prestigious Sister Concilia Moran Award, bestowed by the Catholic Health Association of the United States, for creativity and breakthrough thinking that advances the ministry.
